Due to a job transfer my family were relocated to Auckland in December of 2009. Our main focus was to enrol our children into a Christian school. We were very disappointed with the academic progress of our children let alone the little input of our spiritual beliefs from the state schools.
We enrolled our children into Immanuel Christian School and were very pleased when they were accepted. For the last two terms we have witnessed a vast improvement of both Joshua and Jordan. Joshua, our eldest has always had a negative attitude towards school but since attending Immanuel, there has been a complete turnaround. He thrives in doing his homework and looks forward to going to school. He enjoys the relationship he has with the students and teachers. Similarly, Jordan has improved in his reading. There is now a strong sense of self-confidence with both Joshua and Jordan.
We have also found that there is a strong sense of unity among parents and teachers.
Financially, Immanuel Christian School costs more in comparison to public schools. However, we believed that it is money well spent. What we have gained over the last two terms is something that money cannot buy. Of course there is a sacrifice but we look at it as a long-term investment for our children.
We are very happy with what Immanuel Christian School has planted in the hearts and lives of our children and look forward to, God willing, enrolling our little 4 year old in 2011!
